New Adelaide University Opens After Major University Merger

New Adelaide University has officially opened following the merger of the University of Adelaide and University of South Australia according to perplexity-sonar. It welcomed 56,000 transferring students.

The University of Adelaide joined forces with UniSA, Tabor College, and Flinders University to make education more accessible for people with autism according to perplexity-sonar. New training was introduced to boost disability and inclusion studies in teaching degrees.

Adelaide University Sport announced the recipients of 2026 sport scholarships with funding for new recipients exceeding $50,000 across 11 scholarships according to perplexity-sonar. The merger is consolidating sporting clubs with Adelaide University Sport now encompassing approximately 40 clubs.
